Privacy policy

Information we handle

We handle only the information needed to provide and protect day·lı:

• Account information. Your name, if provided, email address, account identifier, and sign-in session. Authentication is managed by Neon Auth; day·lı does not store your password.
• Tasks and preferences. Your task titles, optional descriptions, schedules and statuses, along with your theme, day structure, Inbox archival preference, and product-tour choice.
• Device and service data. Your browser time zone, plus routine technical information such as IP address, browser details, request times, and errors.
• Optional uninstall feedback. If you choose to respond after removing the extension, we store your selected reason and optional note. We do not attach your account, email address, tasks, browsing activity, or extension data to that feedback.

day·lı has no advertising trackers or third-party analytics. We do not collect your browsing history, the contents of other webpages, precise location, contacts, or financial information.

How we use information

We use this information to authenticate you; store, display, and synchronize your tasks and preferences; calculate your local day; keep the service reliable and secure; respond to legal obligations; and, when you choose to send it, understand extension uninstall feedback.

Browser extension

Dayli: Your Tasks in Focus replaces the browser’s New Tab page. It receives the scheduled tasks needed to show what matters now, along with your day structure, theme, and whether today has been planned. It does not receive your Inbox, Archive, completed-task titles, or browsing history.

The extension uses your existing day·lı session to synchronize tasks and completions. It temporarily keeps scheduled tasks and pending completions for the current browser session; only its onboarding choice persists. This information is not used for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or any purpose unrelated to day·lı.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use and transfer it only to provide the extension, comply with law, or protect against security threats. We do not use or transfer it for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or sale to data brokers. Humans do not read task information unless you consent for support, access is needed for security or required by law, or the information is aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.

Sharing and service providers

We do not sell or rent personal information or share it for personalized advertising. The hosted service uses Neon for authentication and storage and Vercel for hosting. They process data only as needed to operate their services. We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, or security threats.

If you use an independently hosted day·lı deployment, its operator controls its data. Contact that operator about its privacy and retention practices.

Storage, retention, and deletion

Tasks and preferences remain available across your signed-in devices. Archived tasks remain stored until you restore or delete them; archiving is not deletion. Deleted tasks are removed from the live day·lı dataset.

The web app keeps a local working copy on your device until you clear day·lı site data. Signing out hides it but does not erase it. The extension’s temporary task data clears when its browser session ends; its onboarding choice remains until extension data is cleared or the extension is removed.

Authentication and operational records, provider backups, and anonymous uninstall feedback may be retained as needed for security, legal compliance, and reliable operation. Uninstall feedback is separate from account data and has no fixed deletion schedule.

Security

We use access controls, encrypted HTTPS connections, secure session cookies, and account-scoped storage to protect data. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can view and delete tasks, sign out, clear local browser data, or uninstall the extension. You may also contact us to request a copy, correction, or deletion of personal information associated with your account.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when day·lı or its legal obligations change. The date at the top of this page will identify the latest version.
